Privacy policy
Last update: November 2026. We try to write it in clear words.
Who is responsible
Sinar Studio, a small independent studio. To ask about your data, use the help chat on this site or our YouTube channel @SinarSMP_official.
What we keep, and why
| Data | Why | Where | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Email address and password (the password is scrambled, we never see it) | Log in and confirm your email | Auth0 | Until your account is deleted |
| Username, optional Minecraft name, your email (copied), date of creation | Your profile on the site, and a link to Sinar SMP in the future | Our storage at Cloudflare | Until you delete your profile |
| Problem reports: your message and the optional contact you write | Understand and fix the problem, and answer you | Our storage at Cloudflare | Until the problem is solved, then deleted |
| Short counters to stop abuse (a scrambled version of your account or IP address, a number) | Security | Our storage at Cloudflare | One hour |
| Questions to the AI of the help chat (not kept by us) | Write an answer | Groq | Set by Groq |
| Your Minecraft name (if you give it), sent through our server to PlayerDB and Mojang to check it, and to Minotar to get the head picture | Show your head as your picture | PlayerDB, Mojang, Minotar | Set by them. Your browser talks only to our site, never to them |
| Technical logs (IP address, page, browser) | Run and protect the website | Cloudflare | Set by Cloudflare |
The help chat first answers with ready-made answers: these stay in your browser. If your question matches none, the last few messages of the chat (at most 6, cut to 300 characters each) are sent through our server to an AI service, Groq, which writes the answer. We do not keep these messages, but Groq can process them under its own rules, so never write personal details or passwords in the chat. The AI can be wrong. The report form sends your text to us.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not share your data with anybody else, except the services that make the site work: Auth0, Cloudflare Groq (the AI of the help chat), and PlayerDB, Mojang and Minotar (to check a Minecraft name and show its head). They can process data outside your country, under their own rules.
The legal reason
We need your data to give you the account that you asked for (contract), and to keep the site safe and working (our legitimate interest). We use your consent for nothing else.
Your rights
You can see, correct, delete your data, and ask us to stop using it. You can change your Minecraft name and delete your profile on the account page. To remove your login email at Auth0 too, or to ask about a report, send us a report in the help chat or write on our YouTube channel: we will answer and delete it. If you think we did not respect your rights, you can complain to your data authority (in France: the CNIL, cnil.fr).
Browser storage
See the cookie policy. In short: only what the login needs.
Children
If you are under 15, please ask a parent or guardian before you create an account, and do not write personal details in a report.
Safety
The connection to the site is encrypted, the login is checked by our server on every request, and we keep as little data as we can. No service is perfectly safe: if we learn about a problem that affects your data, we will tell you.
